How to create and process postal code data to create FSA forward sortation boundaries

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a process flow chart or a How To in working with postal code data. I would like to create a FSA polygon layer for Ontario. I know I could purchase the data but I was wondering what was the best way to create this spatial coverage. Any suggestion on the steps required to carryout this analyze.
