Hi All,
Is there an easy way to set up a model to be run outside of ArcMap or ArcCatalog?
I've built a model that updates a "parallel" copy of our data, that is used in a map, that is in turn used in a separate program. The first step of my model is to delete all of the previous data - which is replaced with fresh data later in the model. I originally planned to have the model executable via a toolbar button on the map - but of course, I can't delete the existing data while the map is using it. So I need to find another way for our technicians to run the model.
My initial thoughts were to either have them run the model through ArcCatalog (though I'm a little concerned that the whole ArcCatalog interface might be daunting), or that I could create a blank map that only had a button for the tool (but that doesn't seem like a very graceful solution). Any better ideas out there?
Thanks!
Sean
