Collapse Dual Lines to Centerline

Hello,

I am trying to run the Collapse Dual Lines to Centerline tool. Instead of getting a single line as the output, the tool is running, but the output is the same two lines I started with. Can anyone suggest what might be causing this problem? Thank you!
