output from one process not recognized as input to a new process

Hi,

I apologize if this question has been answered already; as I was not sure on how to search on this problem.

Please see attached file (example01.jpg). Simple put the output that is called "in situ" does not connect in such away with the Select Layer By Attributes tool to allow me to select features based on an attribute value.

I inserted a "COPY FEATURES" between "in situ" and the "Select Layer by Attributes" but that did not allow me access to in situ

The only selectable intermediate in the "Select Layer By Attribute" tool diaglue was the CameraPoints intermediate.

I am out of ideas, any help would be appreaciated.
