I am working on something about geologic faults. I need a function that is similar as a buffer tool. The buffer tool cannot satisfy the equal area requirement. That is:
"I want to create a buffer zone for each 3 km of the polyline and the areas of these buffer zones are equal to a defined value. "
What tools should I use? I have ArcInfo. Thank you very much.
