Updating an Oracle Database

Hi,

I have a scheduled task that runs overnight using a python script.

Part of the process involves deleting the data within the Feature Class then importing the update from a GeoDatabase.

Ideally we would like to run hourly updates but as the above process involves wiping data during normal working hours I'm worried mistakes could be made by users as data isn't present.

Is there anyway around this?

Any advice appreciated.
